GBGreat Presentation Video was very informative and expanded on topics that were just glanced on in a basic academy. The training will be helpful and the tips could be deployed to assist in a variety of situations.

GBCaptain Turning did a sensational job… Captain Turning did a sensational job giving information that will help me to evaluate situations when coming into contact with folks who deal with Autism from a work perspective. Further, I feel like his personal experience allowed me to become glued into his teaching because it was mostly all first-hand knowledge that he was sharing and he wasn't afraid to get too personal and share even his emotion and shortcomings in situations and how he learned from them. I think more importantly, this gave me a new perspective not just for work but in life. I can now better understand the different aspects of Autism and how it can show in any number of ways. It is a great feeling to gain perspective and I feel much better equipped to come into contact with people with Autism in my everyday life. I would highly recommend this course to anyone, not just emergency responders. The lesson is well thought out and covers all topics well. This was truly the most informative, and I would say, best training that I have ever received that I have sought out myself. Thank you Captain!

GBChanged way of thinking As a Flight medic/ ground medic, I have had several autistic patients over the years and I never had a true understanding of what a person with autism really went through. This class was very informative and changed my view on how to handle situations with them. I had flown out a 2 year old autistic girl that drowned in a pond, her dad found her in less than 5 minutes, she was unresponsive and lifeless, he had just taken his first CPR class a couple months prior and was able to resuscitate her. She is thriving without any long term deficits from the incident. Had he not been trained, the situation would have gone very differently. He turned his back for less than 5 minutes to wash some dishes, and she broke through the screen in the window and went straight for the pond on their property. It is a call I will always remember and an example I use when I teach my CPR classes to the public on its importance.
