Worth every penny, and then some I was an intermediate guitar player that struggled to take my playing to the next level, so I decided to give pickupmusic.com a try. I started with the CAGED course and it opened up an entire new world for me. Dr. Miller is a fantastic instructor and helped me push past the rut I was in. I took quite a few courses after CAGED and they all helped with diversifying my playing. But now I’m taking their Soloing course and it’s giving me the skills and confidence of putting together my own solos, as well as improvising. I’m currently studying one of their pieces and transcribing my own solo, I’m calling it my capstone. I’d like to thank all the instructors. They’re all awesome. Even better, sometimes they put on zoom sessions, at no extra cost. You can also submit videos for feedback; I submitted one and received excellent, customized advice. And Sam’s weekly emails are always informative.

Pickup made me fall in love with the guitar all over again Have been looking for a platform to move me from my intermediate plateaux (who knew that was a thing?) for years. Pickup is excellent; a fresh, dynamic, responsive and above all fun user experience and I've fallen in love with playing all over again. Such a delightful community of players and musicians. If you have stalled, give this a try! I learned to play guitar 20+ yrs ago, but never kept with it since I only took lessons for about a year. I came across Pickup Music from an Instagram ad and that shouldn't steer you away. The lessons are easy bite-size chunks that won't wear you down or bore you. They keep it fast paced which helps me get formal practice in before I play songs of my own choosing.

Really good step-wise approach to CAGED I really like this interactive and step-wise/day-to-day approach to a system that seemed daunting at first. I've been trying to get all these things like the major scale, the pentatonics and triads into my head over the last couple years and now I finally understand how it relates to each other and it all makes much more sense! Knowing I improved a lot in such a short time gives me a really good feeling :) I really enjoy jamming along to the backing tracks as well!

Amazing Awesome! I started using pickup as an intermediate learner and I have been stuck on a plateau for such a long time. With a little bit of patience and time every day, I've seen significant progress in myself and I finally feel I actually understand the fretboard. I'm now able to hear melodies in my head and play along with songs that I like. There's still so much more to learn and I definitely plan on continuing to use Pickup Music to see how far I can go.
