Permanent relocation from U.S. to France success! I was relocating permanently from the U.S. to France and needed help navigating the French immigration system. Avvinue connected me with an outstanding resource. I could never have correctly managed all of the little details alone, especially since there were several I was completely unaware of. I am now on French soil with my 3 dogs and couldn't be happier. Except for one thing, a service not (yet?) on offer from Avvinue... That would be my French driving permit. Applying for an International Driving Permit in the U.S. was easy. It looked like the conversion of my U.S. driver's license to a French Permis B would be simple, so I preordered a new Vespa for delivery upon my arrival. It's still sitting in the local dealer's showroom, ready to go. I was unable to acquire the necessary insurance because the U.S. state that issued my driver's license (Arizona) is not on the short list of states that France accepts as equivalent to their Permis B. That means that I have to go through the entire driving school process to acquire the Permis B, instead of just the 7 hour course needed for driving a 125cc scooter. I've lost most of my French language skills, which I now need to relearn much more quickly than expected, in order to attend the auto école. This would be an excellent service for Avvinue to add. I suggest asking them for help with your driving permit, so you don't get blind-sided like I did yesterday when applying for insurance. For the services Avvinue does have on offer that I took advantage of, they get an easy FIVE STARS. Thank you again!
