GBMy wife and I recently hired a… My wife and I recently hired a contractor to install new siding on our home, and we couldn't be happier with the end result. The job was completed quickly and efficiently, and the quality of the work is outstanding. Our home now looks beautiful and modern, and we have received many compliments from our neighbors. We would highly recommend this contractor to anyone looking for a siding installation.

GBThey abandoned the job after 3 days. They abandoned the job after 3 days. Left a mess - multiple gaps in the deck where they'd ripped boards off, cracking some in the process. About 1/3 remains un-sided, 1/3 still has original siding. On the un-sided areas, they installed house-wrap so poorly in some areas that it came loose and we had 20ft long streamers of loose house-wrap ripping about in the wind. They install new house-wrap on top of old, without even slitting the old ***as every professional siding contractor coming to quote to finish the job told us should have been done. The siding that was installed is wavy in places, butt-joints not nailed down, poor finish on most corners & trim. When the professionals arrive to finish this job, we'll be paying costs to finish properly. Significant damage to window frames where siding was removed with brute-force. Bailed out leaving a pile of light fittings, screws, nails, exposed light and power sockets. Gutter downspouts left lying in the ground.,.long runs of un-caulked joints at the roofline On the way out, someone crashed into a brick planter and damaged it badly, and laughed while shoddily trying to fix it (we had to do it ourselves) Try finding a siding contractor at short notice in late September ..... Get a fully detailed quote. Many things will be cheerfully included during the initial onsite visit as you do the walk-around. Take notes of everything said; when the written quote arrives, ask for all of that's said to be written into the contract. Memories are short, and the subcontractor isn't there when all these assurances are given. When subcontractors arrive to do the job, they're unaware of anything beyond the bare essentials. Short memories rule from then onward. They sub-contracted my job. Recommend that at invoice time you Google this "770 ILCS 60/5", and see what you have to do to protect yourself from subcontractor liens (can be filed 2 years later - homeowner is liable and can be sued. Lastly, look at all their reviews, not just the latest ones
