March 2024 - Financial Model Cohorts Experience First, it was suggested that attendees may have to rely on luck to find the financial model they need already available in the Miro template. Therefore, there is a need to expand the library of financial models, such as manufacturing, not everything is SaaS. Second, there seems to be a lack of effort in understanding complex models, such as the multi-tier model we presented. Despite its importance, it only received five minutes of attention during the week. We sincerely felt neglected and underestimated.

Driver-based modeling is particularly beneficial for businesses focused on internet sales and growth. While the model's automation features may be less relevant for tech hardware companies with longer production lead times, it remains highly valuable as it equips tech founders with the necessary skills to act as their own CFOs.

Financial-modeling course The Slidebean financial-modeling course is the single most empowering piece of financial education I've gotten as a start-up founder. It's actionable and you can immediately start playing around with figures and scenarios for your company. Watching the Slidebean videos on financial models before is quite recommended. However, the times were not super clear by the end, making me miss the final live meetup. I was part of the first cohorts, so I guess the will be have plenty of time to make logistics cleaner. Thanks!
