The turnaround time was amazing and the book turned out better than I ever could have expected. While it is a little on the pricey side, it's well worth it if you're self publishing and need an example of what your finished product will look like. I highly recommend!

Requested a new copy for an old family tree book. Several years ago our extended family decided to put together a 5-6 generation family tree. For various reasons not everyone purchased a book at that time. My baby sister is now a grandmother and wanted a copy of the book. My original family book was purchased I believe over 10 years ago. It had been published by Bookemon so I went to Bookemon’s web page. I used their easy online re-order app without issue. It took a little time to get the book, but not more than was estimated and I received the additional copy that is picture perfect! My sister is going to be sooo thrilled.

There are pros and cons to using Bookemon I liked that I could add as much or as little text and photo combination as I needed. That was great. The learning curve however took some time and there are something’s about the website when creating the books that really don’t make sense. When I received the book it looked like the tops of all the pages were cut lower therefore a larger margin at the bottom of the page while cutting of text or photos at the top.

My book project My book project, a personal history for my grandchildren starting with a family history of my childhood in Germany, took a little more than 2 years to complete. Throughout this time I had the personal assurance that the Bookemon.com site would be there without fail whenever I added stories or edited previous pages. I appreciate the ability to make use of the Bookemon.com design prompts and general ease of use to bring my project to private self-published completion. I was able to tell my story for my family. Mostly good. Could be better. I have been writing books for my grandchildren using Bookemon for about 13 years. I have been mostly happy with it, but there are a few negatives that are very frustrating. In “graph” mode, you need prominent center vertical and center horizontal lines. You also need to make it easier to center pictures within a page. One should be able to choose a spine color but no text if they prefer that. What happened to being able to view two pages, left and right, in edit mode?
