Peshtemal is a handwoven, traditional Turkish bath towel that originated from the Ottoman Hamam spa culture. They were initially created to help bathers maintain their privacy and to dry off after a luxurious steam bath. Today, these authentic towels are being used in a variety of ways. Peshtemal Collection provides 100% Turkish cotton, eco- friendly, highly absorbent towels that are woven by local artisans in northern Turkey that continue to use over 600 years of technique. Each Peshtemal is handmade, painstakingly selected, and brought here to ensure that our customers receive not only a product but an experience to carry with them on their everyday adventures
