ITThe smartest way to travel! Visited a few cities in Italy over the summer, and did not have to use taxi / bus / rental car a single time. Instead I was able to quickly grab scooters and simply leave when at the destination without the hassle of dealing with parking or high costs.

BEBad experience The scooter itself rides nicely, but all the stuff around it is just plain stupid. When there's a zone you shouldn't drive in, it nicely recognizes that you shouldn't be driving quickly so it slows to 6kmph. However, leaving that zone never gets it to start again. Every unlock costs €1. I wanted to have a 3 minute drive and had €4.25 left. I can't unlock because I have insufficient funds. Now I'm stuck with this amount on the app with no refund possible. It's fun when it works, but it often doesn't and then it's VERY frustrating.

GBZero stars Zero stars. Wife and I used 2 scooters same time. No issues with hers. Mine. Wouldn't start after pushing off. 5 mins later, it "magically" started working. Both ended on the app, it asked for a picture of the locked scooter. App said it was fully ended, showed charges around $8 each. 2hrs later, there's another extra charge for $50.01. it attempted to charge same amount 3 more times. Which were declined by my bank, and they called me for the alert. I didn't authorize any more billing, and I was done. Used in DC area. Bank was nice and refused the payments, and gave me my money back, except for the $8 that was correct. Tried to contact Helbiz, no response. This is unacceptable business practice.

GBRode me into the poor house Rode the scooter for 16 minutes and used the "pause" option. Only put $10 on the Helbiz wallet but they decided to charge me even when I wasn't riding the stupid thing. Someone was able to take the scooters when they were paused (and while we were still charged for the scooters btw) total bill on my bank account was $43 for a $16 scooter ride. Now they won't give me a refund and have told me to "be more careful in the future" ABSOLUTE CRIMINAL. I am currently contacting my credit card company for fraudulent activity.
