Very nice looking helmet BUT BIG PROBLEMS Very nice looking helmet with great tech features. HOWEVER!!! in all caps and 3 exclamation points; be aware of their not so usual return exchange policy! They may ship it free BUT IF you return it for any reason even if didn’t fit using Quin’s own size chart you must pay the return shipping which for me using UPS was $47.00. Further, if you want a refund you will be charged for the original free shipping to you as well, a $45.00 fee. So to just try the helmet on and it doesn’t fit your head it will cost you $90.00+ not including your time and hoop jumping. Unheard of policy in this industry! It’s giving would be Quin Helmet owners trouble as well as Quintessential Designs the owner of the made in China, not Texas, Quin Helmet. Beware! They do not point this out prior to sale. China made and nasty penalty for returns and exchanges.

You Don't Always Get What You Pay For Enjoy the helmet's light weight and ratchet chin strap, but that's where the satisfaction ends. For the price, the quality of the helmet overall is lacking (former Shoei owner). The ventilation is poor and the vents themselves appear to be made of cheap plastic. The technology is a nice idea, but it is not Siri compatible which reduces ease of use. And although I do not own one, I'm told the Apple Watch has the ability to detect a hard fall and send emergency alerts and location coordinates, so there's that. Lastly, the sound quality of the helmet's speakers is incredibly poor. (All treble, no mids or lows). I listened to a friend's Sena system after the fact, and Quin has nothing on it. Bottom line is, this helmet is gathering dust on my shelf, and it's not for the lack of riding.

Quin Ghost Umbra, Pros & Cons Ghost Umbra Pros: I’m quite pleased with the lighter weight, great design, fit & easy connectivity. Safety ratings & features are definitely impressive. Cons: Like other riders have noted, the volume is inadequate, particularly during highway travel. I can barely distinguish what tune is playing! ☹️ (After a bit of research, I adjusted my iPhone’s audio equalizer to the “late night” setting. It helps, though not enough.) Also, I get a bit annoyed when the face shield is in the fully open position & doesn’t clear my field of vision entirely. Otherwise, would recommend.

The design and comfort of the helmet is… The design and comfort of the helmet is fantastic. My two stars are for the horrible sound quality of the speakers. They have no bass, all tweeter and hurt to listen to. I'm actively trying to sell this basically unworn helmet as I can't wear it. My Kardo system is so much better for sound quality.

Love the way the helmet looks Love the way the helmet looks, the aerodynamics of the helmet feel great. I have found that part of the inner lining is moving. The speakers sound like they are blown as well, i would recommend better speakers
