GBBlatantly lied about repairs! I purchased a range rover four months ago from Texas Auto Group. When I initially inquired about the vehicle, I was told it had been an accident, and at this point had hesitations about purchasing. I was, however, told by Al that the vehicle has been thoroughly inspected, completely repaired and in his exact words was like brand new. I explained that if they were able to offer a quality warranty, that would proceed with the purchase. The vehicle was over priced, even for a vehicle that had not been in an accident, but I did really like the vehicle and in fairness, it was extremely clean and nice. Four months into having the vehicle I had to take it in for repairs. At this time I was given a bill of $11,000, of which my warranty only covered $4000. The mechanic stated that these were definitely not new damages, and it appeared that these were repairs not made when the car had been in an accident. I spoke with the warranty company, who directed me to contact the car lot, as the particular damages were considered, wear and tear. They also agreed that there was no way that this damage could have been done within the four months that I had the vehicle. I called and spoke with Diego, who identified himself as a customer service manager. After several days, he informed me that there was nothing that they could do and that I needed to file this under my warranty. I explained to him that the damages were not covered, and that I was told by the warranty company that the car lot was the one liable for the damages, as these were repairs, not made initially, as I had been told. I explain to him how Al had specifically told me that the car was “ like brand new” and have been completely repaired. His response was, well I didn’t sell you the car. I can’t think of a more unprofessional response that a customer service manager could have. To take advantage of customers and blatantly lie in this way, and then to pass the buck to someone else, rather than making things right, was absolutely disgusting business practices to me. Diego was extremely rude and began to talk over me when I asked to speak with a supervisor. He refused to transfer me and told me that I would need to call back. I have called back twice now and left messages and have yet to get a call back, this was several days ago
