Good idea, bad quality & customer support Basically, I find the lock and the idea very good. I have three of them, but bought directly from Ziilock. Two of them still work perfectly incl. fingerprint opening. The Bluetooth connection is, as mentioned in some other reviews already okay, but has no special range, means only works in the immediate vicinity of 0 - 5 m. The holder itself is also quite robust, only the fixing straps are a bit slack and torn on one lock after just one year. With the third lock I had a problem. I had bought it 1.5 years ago and put it in the closet, because I wanted to use it for my new bike. Then, unfortunately, everything took a little longer and I got the wheel only now. When I wanted to install the ZiiLock (and took it out of the still unopened package)) the battery would not charge - no matter how many cables I tried. The answer from Customer Service was very terse: Yes, it happens from time to time that the battery is defective. However, it cannot be replaced and the warranty has unfortunately already expired. ...and so I now have a more expensive "dumb" bike lock. IMPORTANT: Check the batteries as soon as you get it and note that there is only 1 year warranty. That would not have happened to me with ABUS.

Great idea but piece of junk Bought this lock a year ago for a bike at my second home. Loved it when I first got it. When i returned this summer, the battery was dead and would not charge. Customer (not) service said too bad. Battery is not replaceable. Do not buy this lock. Great idea but total piece of junk. Waste of time and money.

Keyless entry quickly died and not reparable The fingerprint opening worked fine until the battery got charged for the second time, after it died (that’s about 1 year of use) Now it’s just a heavy key lock, with a rotting battery inside. Neither good for the planet or your wallet, better stick to a quality lighter key lock from trustable brands

Do not buy Ziilock they will brake and have no service Do not buy Ziilock. i bought two of them. it took a long time before they arrived they where delayed. i used one of them for a summer. it has been charged once. the second time i charged it i put it back on my bike and when i needed it it was empty again so i thought. I took it inside from the shed again to charge but no light was coming on it was dead as a doornail. contacted Ziilock and they ask me to take a video from the brick zo i did. after a few months without reply i tried it again. they asked me to sand them some more info. They replied and told me it was the battery that died and it was out of 1 year warrenty. so do not expect it be used a lot it is crap and the company has bad customer service and they take ages to reply.
