GBHonest Folks Not knowing exactly what my car needed I called up Cottman Transmission located on in Gladstone. The person I spoke with on the phone was extremely helpful and asked a few questions. We discussed what my vehicle was doing and he said that he suspected it was a wheel bearing and not the transmission and asked that I bring the vehicle down so he could drive it and see first hand what it was doing, which I did. On the Test Drive, Right off the bat he said that it was a wheel bearing and not an issue with the transmission. Now I'm no mechanic so he could have told me that it was the transmission, did whatever he wanted to the transmission and replaced the wheel bearing at the same time, charged me whatever they wanted and I would have never known the difference! If you are reading this review thinking of using Cottman Transmission in Gladstone for your issue with your car, rest assured that you can trust (TRUST) these folks to be honest with you!

GBGreat service Great service. We went for transmission problems, but ended up leaving with only getting the sway bar repaired. Really appreciated their honesty.

GBGood workmanship In December 2016, my husband's 2006 Volvo x70 needed a transmission rebuild. Cottman in Gladstone was recommended to us, and we could not be happier with the service. The car has been going a year now and drives very smoothly. We have 234,000 miles and hope to go another 234,000. All of the people at Cottman are knowledgeable and nice. We were so happy with our experience that we have returned to Cottman with my 2008 Volvo for a hose problem. Cottman is one of our main go-to places for car repair.

GBService you can trust. I had my vehicle towed to my local dealership for a drive train leak. I was told it would cost 4,000 to fix. I knew I needed another opinion. I called Kenny at Cottman of Gladstone. He offered to get it towed to their shop and give me another opinion. Turned out to be seals. For less than 250.00 they fixed it. They are professional, honest, and friendly. They have earned my business!

GBWell done job. Took my 2006 Tacoma in for what I thought was a clutch replacement. The technician checked it out and determined the clutch was fine but the shifter was shot to pieces. The quote for the shifter repair was going to be about half what the clutch replacement would have been. When they called with the final bill, it was about $100 lower than the original quote for the shifter. The bill just kept going down. Shifter works great now and I'm very pleased. They did great work and didn't try to push any unnecessary repairs unlike several other repair shops I have used in the past.
