GBGood service My 12 years old Toyota Corolla engine finally gave up. It had problems for the last few weeks and I thought I need to buy new car. But then I found Carmonkeys and gave them the call. Service was really good and they helped me with ordering used engine. So far, after 3 weeks the car runs really good and I’ve saved tons of money. Car monkeys have really good service and affordable pricing.

GBRefused to fulfill warranty I bought a 7.3l instead of a 6.9l engine. They are the same engine and are compatible. Found seller on Ebay, arranged purchase on the phone, was sent invoice and paid via PayPal. A little over a year later the engine started knocking. They told me to get documented diagnosis from an auto shop. When I sent it in they denied the warranty on basis it was not the correct engine for my truck. The salesperson I dealt with was aware of my minor upgrade to the slightly larger engine. Now I am stuck with a broke truck again and wasted $4000 for install and purchase of the engine for one year of operation. They should verify warranty compatibility via VIN otherwise I would have gotten the 6.9 or gotten documentation it is a valid substitute. Re: Carmonkeys reply It was indeed your site and I have a reciept in my history through PayPal so perhaps one of your employees is making sales on the side to make some extra cash with their discount but I DO have an engine, 7.3 and 6.9 IDI are in teh same Wikipedia article. Whoever I dealt with at your company allowed me to buy a 5-year warranty 7.3 for my 85 f-350 and knew I was doing it since the 7.3 is an improved version of the same engine. I still want my warranty fulfilled and I will take down my negative reviews. I would like to resolve this issue. Otherwise I will pursue my legal options. GBTerrible customer service I ordered a rear axle assembly for my Tacoma. When it arrived and was installed it was in worse shape than the one I replaced. When I called to let them know they said they were going to contact my mechanic to get the details and call me right back. They did not. My mechanic suggested that I get rid of the truck so I did but still had the original axle. I contacted CarMonkey again because I still had not heard from them and told them the situation and asked if they were interested in the old axle. The customer service person told me I was Insain. I wanted to ask where he had been trained in customer service but it was obvious he was not. I paid $1,500 for a replacement axle and $600 to have it installed and CarMonkey wanted me to pay an additional $600 to have it removed so I could send it back and they would replace it and I could then spend another $600 to have that one installed and hope it worked. I understand they cannot refund the money as I do not have the vehicle anymore but to tell me to spend thousands of dollars more to fix the faulty part they sent me or call me Insain for asking if they wanted the old axle is not good customer service. I will recommend no one buy from them simply because of the poor customer service.
