While the concept was undeniably appealing, I noticed some discrepancies that dampened my initial enthusiasm. Several predrilled holes were misaligned and too close to the edge of the plywood, with a noticeable absence of screws. Furthermore, the paint had not fully cured, leading to components sticking together. To add to the frustration, a particular piece designed for the trunk tie-down hooks failed to fit, despite my earnest attempts. Challenges Faced and Solutions Implemented: In order to make the system functional, I undertook several corrective measures: 1. Redrilling holes to ensure proper alignment. 2. Sanding and repainting certain components to enhance aesthetics. 3. Utilizing wood filler and paint to rectify splintered or damaged areas. Despite encountering these hurdles, I must acknowledge that the system now functions as intended. However, I cannot overlook the quality shortcomings that necessitated significant adjustments on my part.
