The seller didn’t answer the door so they were trying to charge me a no show fee. After calling them about this it turns out the technician never scheduled the appoint and showed up because he said the seller never answered his phone. I shouldn’t have to pay for a no show fee if there was never an appointment scheduled…. On top of that I called again to see what I should do and the guy (his name was Mark) said well sir it’s your fault because you left the wrong number. I printed to records and it definitely was the correct number. That’s tells me that either the technician called the wrong number or they didn’t call at all. If they do this bad of a job just writing down a phone number and lie about it then I not trust them to inspect a 20k vehicle.

I purchased a pre-purchase inspection… I purchased a pre-purchase inspection for $219.99 for a used car on 3/23/24 through Lemon Squad. Their website listed someone coming to look at the car on 3/23/24, almost immediately after I set up the appointment. It then was changed to 3/25/24 at 11:45AM at the car dealership. My salesperson called me multiple times on 3/25/24 because no one from Lemon Squad called the dealership nor showed up to complete the service. I called Lemon Squad to discuss and their response was placing my order on hold until I found another car for them to inspect. I stated they missed two appointments and I just wanted a refund. They stated my order/money would have to stay in an on hold status for 90 days at which time I could request a refund. They stated this language was in their terms and conditions which I didn’t read anywhere. I want a refund because services were never rendered. Update: On 4/16 I got an update they went to the dealership and the car sold and they couldn’t complete the inspection. Of course the car was sold, I took it to a a local mechanic who completed a PPI and I bought the car. I called Lemon Squad to explain and they stated sorry no refund because their rep came out and no car was available. Lemon Squad is the true lemon.

Good report followed by transmission failure I had a Lemon Squad inspector go over a 2005 Maserati Spyder Cambiocorsa I was considering buying. A pretty clean report, including that the transmission was working as expected. Right after I received the car the transmission failed. One wonders whether the inspectors are in cahoots with the car salesmen, considering that they live and work in pretty much the same area. I would be leery of any good Lemon Squad report, since it may now be what it seems.

I should always read reviews here… I should always read reviews here before I try something new... They did send someone to inspect the car I was considering. Everything on the report was marked "good" except for things that I could easily see myself, like wear on the seats, and an alert light was on. He said he did a road test, but I don't think he did. As soon as my husband drove it, he noticed some shaking when applying the brakes, and the car "jerks" when it shifts while driving. That's transmission!! I specifically said in my request that I was concerned about transmission (it's a known issue in this vehicle, but obviously doesn't happen to them all). There are several other little things wrong, but those two are big. We bought the car, based on their report and my brief test drive. Off to the dealership next week, for a proper inspection.

It was located on an internet auction and from the write up and pics it seemed very good and what i wanted. I had used lemon squad once before and was very satisfied. As it turned out thaere were a lot of hidden problems that the care had that wasn't foreclosed by pictures or descriptions. Lemon squad saved me from a big mistake! I highly recommend getting a lemon squad inspection and report if you can't see the car you are interested in in person. Five stars for Lemon Squad
