GBI had an amazing trip of a lifetime… I had an amazing trip of a lifetime with Sachin Aggarwal (Birds and Wildlife of India). From rural towns to huge cities, we saw many aspects of Indian culture. Incredible views of wildlife including elephants, jackals, and mongoose. I saw 144 species of birds and especially loved the drongos, barbets, and hornbills. And the woodpeckers! And the kingfishers! Everything was great, from the local food, to the lodges, and all the National Parks. I look forward to traveling with Sachin to Africa some day!

GBGreat birding trip in Belize! We can't say enough good things about our trip to Belize with Sachin and Mowgli Expeditions. The 10-day birding trip spanned rain forest, Mayan Ruins, river travel and the beach. Sachin thought of everything - transportation from lodge to lodge was seamless, lodges were delightful, and the guides were superlative. We would not hesitate to travel with Sachin and Mowgli again!

GBTravel in India is said to often be… Travel in India is said to often be stressful - there is so much going on. But not so with Sachin and his team! His planning is extensive and seemingly flawless. His personality and those of his guides and drivers make the trip so interesting - you learn not only about birds and wildlife but many insights into the diverse culture and geography of Incredible India. Whether this is your first trip to India or if you are a frequent traveler there, it's a great experience!

GBAmazing! This was probably the best vacation our family of four (mom, dad and boys aged 17 &13) have been on. Sachin at Mowgli Expeditions was really knowledgeable about the area and came across as a Kenya safari expert. He gave us great suggestions and made sure he delivered on all of our requests. Everything went smoothly on our nine day trip which is a testament to his attention to detail. We were enthralled by the amazing sights we saw on safari- the sheer, rugged beauty and size of the Savannah that is home to so many incredible animals big and small. Again, we were very thankful for our expert guide and driver whose stories and commentary added to the excitement of the experience. Mowgli Expeditions also did an awesome job on our accommodations - all top notch! The best things in life are the people we love, the places we visit and the memories we make along the way........Thanks Sachin and Mowgli Expeditions for the unforgettable memories.......

GBIndia’s birds and cultural aspects As I write this I’m enjoying a cup of masala chai, a refreshing Indian tea that is bringing back great memories of the birding and cultural adventure I had in India hosted by Mowgli Expeditions. We birded the western Ghat areas south of Mumbai near the small town of Dandeli. This area was loaded with a great many birds, most of which were lifers for me. The lodge at Old Magazine House was well maintained. Food was good with a wide variety of Indian dishes. Next, we headed to Bangalore and enjoyed two days in a jungle lodge near the town of Kabini. On jeep safaris we were rewarded with tigers, leopards, and wild dogs. After the birding I travelled to the north to partake of some of the cultural aspects of India around the busy town of Udaipur. A large palace complex was the central attraction along with a unique Hindu shrine near by. A trip to the small village of Bera afforded a chance to stay a couple nights at a palace with several rooms remodeled for tourists. The highlights of this area are the many koppies (rocky hills) with chances to see the leopards found here. Yes, we saw several. Next, we spent a day exploring the amazing Taj Mahal. Final day was spent birding the Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary. Highlight was a chance to see a pair of Sarus Cranes. The trip included expert local guides at all locations. Sachin, the owner of Mowgli, was with us and providing all the necessary logistical support needed.
