Active Family Tour of Quito and the Galapagos We went on a tour of Quito and the Galapagos. We had about 1-1/2 days in Quito at the beginning, a week in the Galapagos (between three islands) and then a long day back from Isla Isabella, a day in the suburbs in Quito and then returned to Panama, where we live. It was an active tour, and we had quite a few great activities, including a visit to a volcano in the Quito area, getting to snorkel and kayak with a variety of turtles, sea lions, and fish in the Galapagos, and getting to see huge tortoises. We had an individual guide in both places, both of whom were great. It is an active tour, which is exactly what we wanted.

The best tour we ever had… The best tour we ever had and that is saying something as over the past 18 years we traveled in 48 countries by now. Everything was perfectly organized, customized to our taste and there was nothing left to chance. Even the smallest details were taken care of and we really did not have to think about anything. Just enjoying the experience of seeing new places, interacting with animals and relaxing.

The seamless journey was well planned out from being transferred to airports and hotels with our own private driver and guides to delicious meals and interesting excursions. Fabulous trip Fabulous trip! We explored Peru and Ecuador/the Galapagos with Andean Discovery, and we were delighted with the whole trip. It was obvious that all hotels and experiences had been carefully vetted. The guides, especially Cesar, were responsive to our every request.
