Taking Mom to Nonno's birthplace We had a private tour of Sicily including a day in Nonno's village. Ciao Italy arranged a remarkable trip customized to our preferences. Travelling and transfers were exactly how we requested it! Everything was perfect from start to finish, English speaking vans drivers and trains were on-time, with spacious seats and luggage accommodations. Activity vouchers, with detailed explanation, VIP tickets to skip long lines and tour guides were knowledgeable and friendly. There was not a day that we did not know what to do or where to go! Outstanding full day tour! We took tour 348609 - Grand Tour of Tuscany - Siena, Pisa and San Gimingnano - small group and it was outstanding! This tour has three stops plus a visit to Castello Sonnino winery and was one of our only tours that had fewer than the maximum number of people that was advertised. There was a wonderful guided tour in Siena plus we had time on our own in Pisa and San Gimignano. It is a long day but definitely worth it because much of the driving is through the Tuscan countryside which was absolutely beautiful. we visited Castello Sonnino in the heart of the Chianti region of Tuscany. The highlight of our visit was seeing the recently hand-harvested grapes drying to be made into Vin Santo. It was magical to witness this centuries-old production process in person.
