GBWe stayed at 1215 E Arctic in Folly… We stayed at 1215 E Arctic in Folly this past week. The condition of the home was TERRIBLE. There were 3 separate leaks in the home (one poured into the living room during all of the 3 rainstorms). The house was dirty, towel racks broken and off the wall, toilet handle not attached, barely visible lighting in upstairs master, bulbs missing, dirty and stained walls, ceiling, dryer vent not hooked up, stuffing coming out of a broken sofa on top deck. This house has SO much potential but it was maintained so poorly. The rental agency sent a handyman who fixed one of the towel bars, but not the other. He said he'd be back to fix the dryer and never was. We fixed it ourselves. We spent a lot of our vacation cleaning up leaks, fixing things, etc. We would NEVER rent this place again, or from Charleston Coast due to the complete misrepresentation of this place (all 5* reviews on their site, which is wildly inaccurate).

GBHouse was dirty and almost everything… House was dirty and almost everything was broken or needed replacing. Sofa and bed were shot..needed replacing. No lock on back door...anyone could walk in at any time. So much liability for owner and leasing company.

GBThe Pond House Check in was quick and easy. The house was dirty, the curtains were hanging off the wall, sheets were stained in one bedroom and the appeared to be some sort of electrical issue with the outlets on 1 wall. The rental agency was quick to address the curtain and had a cleaning company to reclean within a couple days. I notified them of the electrical issue upon check out as it wasn’t affecting our stay. The elevator was nice for carrying grocery’s. The outside seating is cheap and flimsy. Several in our group complained that the pillows were flat. The kitchen was stocked well and there were plenty of towels in the bathrooms for our large group. The beach was very close and it was easy to carry chairs and beach stuff back and forth, there were a few chairs and boogie boards by the outdoor shower. The grill is charcoal. We will look for a different house next time we stay in Folly.

GBToo many problems!!! Our 5th year renting this great house with a great location- BUT too many issues to make for a great vacation!! Issues starting with Dunes Property contact person assigned to house, alarm system repeatedly going off,broken elevator, broken pool cover, and on and on. Just so much deferred maintenance going on with this house and poor property management that I can’t recommend this rental property.

GBUnit 324 in COV Our unit #324 in COV was not clean or well kept. Several lights burnt out, dryer didn't work, freezer door was open when we arrived, sliding door in master bedroom had a broken lock, no lock on sliding door in living room, toilet dirty in one bathroom and toilet paper holders in 2 bathrooms were loose and falling off the wall. This was the 4th year we rented a unit at COV and it was one of the worst units we have used. Paid a premium price for a mediocre unit. The location is great.
