Do not recommend to use this company Do not recommend to use this company. We signed up as the sales person made a lot of promises but then found out: - Most of properties are based in certain part of USA and Mexico, we rarely are able to find anything that is useful for us - The fee that they charge is ridiculous, it is actually cheaper to book an all inclusive 5 star hotel if you add the booking fee they charge plus the money we lose for letting other owners use our properties for free - They don’t do anything considering the fees that they charge and expecting the owner to sort out all the guests, pay cleaner fees etc.. - You must read the small print as you can not cancel the booking once you agree to it - We constantly get message from the sales people asking if their senior people could use our property for free. The message they sent sounded like their senior people are some of god and it is our privilege to have them, unbelievably condescending. - Also at the end, we discovered there is a membership fee on top all the booking fees! They blocked our sites and would not let us use our keys unless we pay for it!!! Basically it is some sort of scheme trying get 2nd or 3rd home owners to LET OUT their properties for FREE and they make a lot of money out of it!

*Censored review title* -redacted ThirdHome signed me up claiming my property was so nice that I wouldn't have to pay the $300 (!) annual membership dues. Turns out, that was just for the first year. (They never said that on the initial call.) I travel a ton to all sorts of locations and I've yet to find a single available property. Some major cities have ZERO properties. Also, they sell themselves as a home swap, but then they take huge fees for the bookings, on average $1000! So, you're maybe saving a few hundred dollars, but it's not worth the effort of trying to coordinate dates with homeowners, especially because bookings are strangely based on pre-set weeks. Site/app is not good. Management/support is super shady, making all sorts of assurances to keep you on board and then backing out of them. Stay away. I regret all the time and money I put in to acquire "keys" and then never get to use them. UPDATE: The company flagged my review and TrustPilot threatened to take it down. While I don’t agree with this action, the offending statements have been removed. Since writing this review, a VP from the company reached out and is working with me to resolve my issues. I appreciate the communication and transparency of this person in the process. I will update my review further once I have used the service for a stay.

Damage and Thirdhome did NOTHING Exchanged home and damage over $1,500, occurred, guest denied damage. Notice the comment from the Thirdhome rep/GC states - deflects and minimizes damage, sharing that my rating of my stays were all 5 stars...failed to mention I rated this guest as a 1, and then minimizes the damage to scratches. I replaced the floor and that alone was over $1,500 and that doesn't include repainting two walls. Thirdhome has a third party Superhog that is supposed to address claims, and similar to an insurance company they ask for information and then don't respond and continue not to respond, two weeks from last response to the latest, then ask for more information...does that work for anyone who wants to know if or when this is covered. Oh, and if you sign up, better take pictures of everything before and after a guest stay if you want them to cover damage, they don't tell you that when you sign up. Thirdhome wipes their hands and when I signed up they said if there is damage they step in and work with the party who was in the house. All they did was send a message to the person in the house and state that the owner claims you damaged the property and then stepped back and did nothing more. The person who was in the home denied the damage, etc. If you care about your home I would not recommend thirdhome. They get so many AirBNB type rentals, if you have one and don't care about it like someone would a second home, this could be for you. if you have a home you care about, I don't not reccomend this. The response Thirdhome left, it's innacurate and the floor is now replaced because they're not scratches...they are chunks taken out of the floor.

Great Club and resource for travel and adventure I have been a member of Third Home for the past 8 years and have taken over 60 trips. It is a game changer for someone like myself who loves to travel with family and friends. The homes I've visited have all been first-class accomodations and I know I've saved a bundle of money compared to hotels or Airbnb options. Visitors to my home have been respectful and good guests and the Third Home website is fun to visit as it is filled with great options for future trips. Finally, the Adventures offered by Third Home are first-rate and have gotten me to the Amazon, Galapagos and Serengeti.

I was very suspicious about Thirdhome… I was very suspicious about Thirdhome until becoming a member I thought no one would ever look after my pride and joy of a pied a terre in Hampstead London but they have ! The guests seem to ab love it . It is with thx to Michelle Meehan who convinced me that it would be great and it has been. Michelle and I had such a laugh Maria is superb / kind / considerate / communicative. Michelle was fabulous. All in all the staff at Thirdhome are tremendous . We are v lucky to have them.
