GBCompany was awesome to deal with Company was awesome to deal with. Very efficient with communication and we even got a call from a real person the day of check-in to make sure we had all the info needed to get into the property. The house was good. Excellent location and the fenced yard was great. Some attention to detail on the inside would be beneficial - molded shower head, drain and return vent were a turn off. The neighbor to the right was not friendly at all but you can't pick your neighbors!

GBAn unexpected disappointment The inside of the dishwasher was a foul smelling swamp of standing water, and German cockroaches were all over the kitchen at night. The house we had last year from Carolina Retreats was quite nice, but this experience will make us think twice about coming back with CR. (We’ve been coming to Topsail Island almost every year since 1991)

GBGreat area. Owners need to get rid of heavily stained carpet. We received notification that the property wouldn’t be ready until 5 due to late cleaning. When we arrived, the unit didn’t appear to be cleaned very well. Large stains on the carpet, crumbs, fingerprints etc on every surface, hair in the shower drain and paper plates taped to the ceiling above the bed in the main floor bedroom. We spent the first hour of our vacation cleaning. We’ve rented for many years in Topsail and we’re disappointed. However, we had a blast on the beach and made wonderful memories. I did send an email about the condition of the house upon our arrival, but never received a response. Even an apology would’ve been nice.

GBHouse was clean and ready for us and… House was clean and ready for us and was exactly what was advertised to be. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We have used Carolina Retreats 5 years in a row and have never been disappointed in their rentals. Thank you for wonderful service and properties.

GBTerrible Management Company- Terrible Management Company- We are an owner of a property managed by Carolina Retreats and once Mike Harrington sold it the service/lack of service is terrible. Our vacationers are having terrible experience with poor cleaning, broken items, etc with no response. Their property maintenance claims to inspect after every rental and we hear from tenants about a ton of sand on the floors, broken items, etc. The maintenance company even glued a loose faucet to marble rather than get under the sink and tighten the nut. Real Shoemakers. My wife emailed Danny Williams and still no response. Stay away from these people.
