Great swim school We have 2 children that go here and we have always been really pleased with the progress they have made and how quickly they pick things up. The school concentrates on technique and getting the kids swimming properly, both kids love their lessons and look forward to them each week

Employee experience I have been employed by Denise for nearly a year now as part of the Bury Swim School team. Not only does she mentor me continuously through my own teaching but also ensures that all staff have her full support wherever needed which I am beyond grateful for. I have the pleasure of being able to teach many children in both the Haymarket pool and the Bury Grammar pool. Witnessing the progression in ability and confidence of these children has been the greatest of privilege of all, and for me ‘work’ never feels like work. This swim school has such a personal touch to it which makes teaching not only rewarding for us as teachers but for every child no matter who they are, that come into the hands of Bury Swim School.

Brilliant for beginners Our son really enjoys his lessons at Bury Swim school - the small pool and small class sizes are perfect for beginners and were ideal for him starting off as he was quite nervous. His confidence and ability have grown massively and it’s a lovely, calm and positive environment.

Welcoming, fun, and knowledgeable Our eldest has been going to Bury swim school for a couple of years now. Denise has developed a close relationship with him and gained his trust which is no small feat for a child with ASD. His progress has been immeasurable and he now loves being in pools and the sea, and is incredibly confident in water. My youngest started almost a year ago and also loves it. Denise makes lessons fun for the kids and teaches crucial skills along with it. Swimming is a highlight of my kids' week. All staff have always been welcoming and understanding and there's a lovely family atmosphere to the school.

9 years of swimming & still counting! My daughter has been swimming with Bury Swim School for 9 years, since she was 4 years old and still going. Miss Ramsden has nurtured her from a child unable to jump in or feel comfortable putting her face in the water, to a really competent swimmer and putting her through her paces! Now smashing it in training every week, with Jake. I cannot say enough good things…children taught by Bury Swim School are so so lucky and I’m a grateful parent. Long may they continue
