Perfect Experience with Shemmassian I am now just chilling, going through my senior year riding high. I was already accepted into an MD program, my second choice, the day after med school admissions can release acceptance decisions! I already had several interviews between August and early October, with others scheduled throughout the rest of 2023 and early 2024. I finished and submitted all my secondary essays to med schools in early August, over a hundred between mid-June and August. And they were coming in all at once. I can't imagine how I would have handled that while taking grueling summer courses. Working with Shemmassian was the best investment for my future. They kept me on track and made sure I could prepare myself well in advance for any type of essay asked of me. More importantly, we curated schools that would give me a higher, more likely, yield of looks. My essays were well-polished (quick turnarounds too) and I never felt like my story was being hijacked or abandoned. My voice rang out through my essays and Shemmassian helped convey my story in the most meaningful and impactful way while adjusting to what any particular school mission could identify with. There isn't anyone I wouldn't recommend Shemmassian to. update: I've been accepted to my number 1 school, UCLA!

Amazing Experience with SAC - Admitted to 8 MD Schools! I had a wonderful experience using SAC for both MCAT tutoring and consulting during the application cycle (I'll focus on the latter for this review). With SAC's support, I received 10 interviews, which turned into 8 acceptances, including a T-5 school and many other top programs. My primary consultant, Dr. Jothishankar, was extremely knowledgeable about the application process and always available to help. He checked in very frequently, and guided me through every step of the process, from my first primary drafts all the way through deciding what school I would attend. The writing support was also second to none. SAC really stands by their 48 hour turnaround commitment, and it was really comforting to know that I'd have edits so soon after I submitted a secondary to the team. There also seems to be a lot of support in the background to make sure that students are covered if the primary consultant or writing support staff member is away for a few days -- everything was seamless and well communicated to me. Also, as a type-A person, I really appreciated SAC's organization and transparent communication. Overall, SAC made this process stress-free and manageable, which is priceless. Could not recommend more!

Worth Every Penny Everyone I interacted with was very responsive and helpful. I had a lot of questions about the cycle that I couldn't find consistent answers to online and it was incredibly helpful to have someone that could answer all of my questions and help guide me through the entire process. I loved that is was a collaborative environment. They always respected my preferences and point of view and gave constructive advice. If I had a busy or something going on, they were flexible about my turn around time. There are a lot of parts in the medical school application cycle. Having someone help you stay on track and manage all of the different parts make a huge difference. I would highly recommend using their services. It is worth the investment.

This is an extremely well run company… This is an extremely well run company that provided me with exactly what I needed to get into my top school (Yale). I was paired with a person who was very accomplished himself who had graduated from multiple Ivy League Universities. Dr. Shemmassian’s Phd in psychology also comes in handy as he is very well equipped to support people through the stressful process of applying. Highly recommend!

Extracurricular Activities Presentation The talk by Dr. Shemmassian was so engaging! It really opened my eyes up to how complex extracurricular activities are on the medical school application and how important it is to have a theme. I learned a lot about examples of successful applications and how to apply them to my own experiences.
