GBI was unaware that when I signed up to… I was unaware that when I signed up to be a part of the community, that I was bound for one year. I was unable to make many of the events because of competing priorities; I requested a cancellation but was denied. Basically, I purchased a membership that served no purpose, not to mention a waste of money. As a single mom, that did not bold well. The sign up needs to be clearer and have built in parameters to opt out if the community is not fit. I would have loved to try again next year, when things calmed down for me, but after this experience, I have no further interest.

GBI owe a lot to HeyMama Have had so many breakthroughs with this community! I have met so many amazing women, attended so many great workshops and learning experiences which have resulted in real positive changes in my life. Whenever I have a question or feel lost, I know I can turn to this community. I look forward to continuing to grow with HeyMama and would recommend it to any mother who is looking to level up any part of her life - work, personal, romantic, whatever you need.

GBThe onboarding process was a bit… The onboarding process was a bit confusing. There didn't seem to be any real chapter leadership. I want a local chapter that is going to have regular meetings online or in person and that wasn't the case here. Also, when I asked about in-person events I was told it was the members' responsibility to put them together. I don't have time for that nor do I want to do that. I want to join a networking group that takes care of the details and brings people together for networking! Also, the two events that I did go to were poorly run. They were shopping and exercise events -- not what I would call business networking. I did not see the value of being a member so I didn't continue with the group.

GBGreat members and love the concept! I’ve met so many amazing women and formed some great business partnerships. I love the virtual offerings. I was really disappointed hearing about the behavior of someone on the leadership team. This organization is celebrating women and stands for lifting them up, instead of cutting them down based on physical attributes or because they do not fit that person’s ideal of what is “cool.” Every time I see that person’s name come up in the Google groups, I cringe. I just hate the idea of my money going to support something I can’t stand for. :/

GBThe company won’t let me cancel my… The company won’t let me cancel my membership. I canceled the membership last month, but they keep charging me. And there’s another charge scheduled for next month. And they refuse to give me refund for this month, claiming that it takes 30 days to stop the charges. It’s unscrupulous and hypocritical for them to steal from a small Black woman owned business.
