GBYou get what you put in. I joined two product job hunt programs simultaneously, one was PG's Product Acceleration program for experienced product professionals and one was non-PG. I had been an APM beforehand at a household name bank and was PIP'ed out. This program required a lot of self-motivation and self-structure. All the information you need to succeed is there -- go to the Product Gym Youtube channel for a sneak peak into their content. There's definitely more as a paid member and their concise content, frameworks and templates are super helpful. The tips and advice helped me reframe my mindset and perform better in interviews. There are also weekly calls where we get to ask questions of Rich, the cofounder and a long-time pm recruiter. But the most helpful part of the whole program is the community: it helped me do practice interviews, level-set my progress in the job search, gave me peer accountability for practicing interviews, prepping answers, and sending applications, and helped me set a realistic bar and expectations for myself throughout the process. My family can give me verbal support, but only Rich (cofounder) and my fellow gym-mates can tell me that it's completely doable to apply to 30 jobs/day and have 5+ interviews a week and here are all the tips to make that happen. Only they were able to give me pointed advice on how to pick myself back up again when I got rejection after rejection. And after almost 3 months in the program and search, I have an offer!

SEThe Power Of Community I am still trying to fathom my new reality; to finally work in Product with really smart people and solve real problems. For many years, I sat on the other side of the table as a Recruiter to listen to the stories Product Managers and Developers shared with me in awe. And for many years, I let the idea of becoming a PM die down; believing I was not competent or experienced enough to take the leap. But that quickly changed when I got laid off and had nothing to lose. I signed up for Product Gym and worked my ass off; followed the instructions and successfully landed a PM internship at an EdTech startup in Stockholm. And ugh, it was extremely tedious and challenging. There were days I was just done. But I kept pushing and pushing, because I had a community that always backed me up. I honestly don't think I could have done it without PG’s program, coaching and community. Every part played a huge role in shaping my new dream and reality–to become a skilled Product Manager. Today, I am working as Product Delivery Manager at an IT consulting firm and part-time CPO at a tech startup. And believe me, none of this could happen without the PG community. I am so grateful for the entire journey, and once again, thank you again for making this come true for me and countless others out there.

GBIncredible Support Tool Product Gym was incredibly helpful for me during my most recent job hunt. I was laid off right after an expensive wedding, and wasn’t in a place, financially, to weather a long and fruitless process. PG gave me all the tools and data from which I used to craft an inspiring resume that perfectly navigates a lot of the unseen filters that exist in the modern HR screening programs. In addition to that, the internal community is super supportive, strong, and willing to give time and effort to raise up new members. This helped me to average a 10-15% interview rate for applications submitted, and from that I was hovering at about an 8 interview average per week. Their education program really gets you up to speed quickly, and without PG I would have never landed a job within three months of getting laid off.

GBProduct Gym is the real deal Product Gym's teachers started out as recruiters for product managers, so they know exactly what your resume needs to look like and exactly how you need to interview in order to get a product manager job. And they're good at it. They have classes, workshops, and practice sessions, and are highly successful at helping people.

INIf you want to get product right, do it the Product Gym way Product Gym has helped me get 3 offers within 3 months, of positions higher than what I was targeting. I loved their program structure as it was inclusive and easy to navigate, regardless of someone’s experience in Product Management. Their staff is cordial and very supportive. Shoutout to Cody Chang and Jermaine McClellan :) I’d like to specifically call out the Circle community @Product Gym, everyone is rooting for your success and ready to help you at all times. Given the current economic climate, there wasn’t a single moment I felt alone in this grueling process, and also made some lifelong connections :) I hope to see sessions around helping people excel once they secure a job, that will be super valuable. I’d highly recommend anyone who is not only eyeing lucrative PM jobs but also wants to become an uber-sharp product leader.
