I was skeptical at first, but I am beginning to like this service and what he can bring to me in terms of opportunities. Business Owner/Consultant After being contacted about the potential of serving on various boards multiple times, I responded directly with specific criteria and concerns. With those seemingly being put to rest, I reluctantly booked a call. They were late in calling. After being very clear again about concerns, they gave a fast run through of the types of boards. I stopped them to ask how they, as a firm, were compensated. Then came the pitch. I'm all about capitalism and profitability but this was a very misleading process to promote how they work on behalf of companies to help board seats with no reference at all to the fees they require from potential board members. I was up front in stating that I had little interest in serving on boards and it would have to be a very specific fit if I were to make time for it. When I shared that the monthly fee was a show-stopper for something I had little interest in to begin with, that young lad immediately hung up. In reading the boardsi reply to my review, it's just not accurate. While the call was just a few minutes late, it was after 9:02 EST as that was when I checked the time and my calendar to make sure I had the correct day, even after receiving multiple reminder emails from them for me to be prepared. Further, the moment I said the $198/month fee that had never been shared previously was a showstopper, the call was disconnected. There was no "thank you for your time" or anything similar as the boardsi reply suggests. I was trying to be fair with a two star review but this lack of accepting responsibility while all but calling my review dishonest is very telling.

Not worth the monthly fee I saw zero return on my investment. Not to mention, the team could not articulate how they were marketing me to potentially interested companies. I participate for almost 6 months, which I felt was ample time to see if there were possible matches or traction. Save your money and effort and look elsewhere.

A total scam A total scam. First a woman from a call center calls and asks if I am interested in a specific board assignment and if so, to schedule a call with her manager (Sean Irons in my case) to learn more about this specific opportunity. Then Sean "cannot" share any specific details about the opportunity but instead tries to sell a paid membership for boardsi that might or might not lead to a board seat. This is spam and a complete waste of time. Shame on people like these.
